ABOUT US

Make-a-Thon is the flagship event of the Electronics and Communication Engineering department of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering. It serves as a platform for the participants to showcase their talents and expertise in project development and deepen their problem-solving skills. After the successful events of Make-o-thon 1.0,2.0 and 3.0 the Electronics and Communication Engineers Association, The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers Student Forum & Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Club are all set to conduct the “Make-a-Thon 4.0” as an inter-collegiate event. This event serves as an opportunity for the students to upskill themselves on recent technologies.

PROBLEM STATEMENTS

  • Getting Soil Health Intelligence through a Smartphone Image based soil-testing facility

  • Develop a mobile App for online processing and registration of dairy farmers producing milk and other livestock products organically. Such an app may help provide market linkage

  • Develop a framework for checking the quality of the milk and milk products. Develop an IoT-based solution with interactive dashboards

  • Develop a mobile or web application that supports tagging & monitor capital assets created under dairy development schemes based on geographical locations

  • Create a Mobile App for Farmers, web platform (or) Robotics (or) Drone based IoT solutions for precision agriculture

  • Monitor & Manage the rate of water, soil fertility, crop growth, pest & diseases, macro & micro-nutrients, etc. using IoT, AI and ML, and applications of sensors

  • Develop a device that automates the process of monitoring the movement of animals in the premises of fields and alerting the farmers and occupants nearby with surveillance functionality

  • Develop a mobile application offering a Digital platform for selling homemade Spices and Snacks/Pickles

  • Perform On-site estimation of soil pH, EC and nutrient status using sensors and provide a web/ Mobile interface to monitor parameters and suggest suitable nutrient advisories based on POP

  • Develop a Digital Farmer Assistant- A mobile application to record all farming events, quantities, and costs of farming

  • Create a solution that can help farmers by keeping them warned about weather conditions which can affect them by accessing data from the meteorological department.Try to keep the product user friendly

  • Create a software or hardware solution to decentralize the water reuse system blockchain for improved water resource management

  • Implement a geo-spatial tool to support decision-making for a range of sanitation interventions in cityscape spatially demarcated areas at the settlement level and recommend suitable sanitation intervention options to decision-makers

  • The government is building water and sanitation infrastructure in rural areas but its operation and maintenance will be a challenge in the long term. Create a hardware-interfaced mobile or web application for providing operation and maintenance services to the local population

  • Suggest an IOT-based autonomous effective way for mitigating the problem of conserving and re-using rainwater and reducing water demand at the source

  • Develop a User-friendly Web or Mobile Phone Application for Water and Sanitation Costing

  • Design a system for a reliable, low-cost monitoring and control concept for small-scale remote industrial wastewater treatment plants

  • Develop a solution to Monitor & Predict the performance of Pumps and other Water-Related Equipment in order to reduce the manpower, CapEx, and Opex involved in it

  • Devise apps that intelligently combine real-time data from rainfall, canal levels, tide times, and drainage water levels to predict water logging at various sites in real time

  • Implement a system to monitor the quality of water outflow from construction sites in cities with an alert system based on the color of water and other parameters

  • Design a Smart Solution for cleaning gully pits, underground sewer systems, and underground drainage systems

  • Create a solution to help the city managers or urban residents in for predicting the impact of urban flooding and can help them to take preventive action

  • Create a web/mobile application for data collection for admission, growth analysis, and visualization of a particular school or college

  • Create a mobile application to know a 360-degree overview of a student

  • Implement a game-Based Digital learning App to teach kids about cybersecurity

  • Suggest hardware-based innovative methods to improve delivery and learning outcomes for specially-abled children

  • All rural development programs/schemes aim at extending maximum benefits to the rural poor. Assessment of eligibility is done by various officials assigned at Centres/States etc. Create a system for proper assessment of the previous statement where the beneficiary can get selected into various Government schemes and offer himself to be tracked using a unique identifier

  • Develop an integrated platform to provide the information of the courses offered by Indian universities

  • Develop an loT enabled Android application to give real time parking space available on the college campus

  • Design a decision support tool(App/software) for EV adoption.

  • Create an IOT-based energy-saving monitoring App for employees.

  • Implement a solution that can help track the supply chain and reverse logistics of products and calculate its negative environmental and social impact across the value chain, which would be handy to educate consumers on the environmental impact of the product they are buying

  • A large quantity of floating trash is finding its way into the urban drainage systems from where it is potentially able to travel via the urban drain, streams, rivers, lakes, and estuaries until it eventually reaches the open sea. A prototype artificial intelligence-enabled robotic trash boat can be developed which can harvest floating trash from urban drains. The trash boat can be operated online/remotely

  • Develop a sharing charging model to solve the location problem for EV charging stations.

  • Develop a software tool/App to determine Acid-Base Disorders (positive and anion gap) in COPD patients

  • Create an IOT-based (or) web (or) mobile application to undergo self-care and perform routine check-ups/ investigations for early identification of the complications of diabetes mellitus

  • Demonstrate an image processing web application for identifying tumors in an MRI image

  • Development of a wheeled smart robotic device with GPS coordinates for wheelchair users and anyone with difficulty standing or walking that would offer a safe ride whether going uphill, downhill, on lateral slopes, or on level surfaces in both standing and sitting positions

  • Develop Ayush hospitals finder application using google Map API which shows the location and nearby Ayush hospital with opening time and closing timing by integrating various bio-medical data sources, containing information relevant to the hospital demographics, their inpatient procedure rates, Outpatient department, etc"

  • Create a mobile app or platform to connect the beneficiaries of government health schemes in their respective states and answer their queries without any telephone conversation

  • Design an IoT-based voice-assisted OP token management system along with an AI-based Queue Management System. The same has to be differently-abled friendly

  • Design an IOT based AI-enabled robot for elderly people with some desired features on your own

  • Design a mobile application to encourage people to get into fitness activities through an interactive UI and daily tasks. Your app has to cover a lot of aspects like storing their progress, syncing to Google fit, and also enabling an AI-based feature to suggest diets based on their BMI, and food patterns like which food they prefer most

  • Mobile Application to keep track of Quantity/Quality/type of food taken (with pictorial images) Built AI Based smart food analyzer Application that allows users to keep track of their food and also recommend the best dietary chart based on their vat, pitta, and kapha state. And also (Carbo/fat/protein etc...) (Ayurveda – Rasa etc.) Mobile application should generate monthly /weekly reports of the user. The application should have a gamification feature which motivates the user to follow the diet chart (Like badges, points, etc...)"

  • Design and develop a technological solution for identifying and blocking any obscene media (image/video/audio) at the user's end. The solution should be able to send alerts to the concerned nodal agency in case of the spread of such content. The solution may be in the form of a desktop/mobile application or a web browser plugin

  • Design and develop an AI-enabled technological solution for actionable Crime Intelligence from the Deep and Dark Web including but not limited to child pornography, weapons, and drugs

  • Indigenous technological Crypto Currency Investigation Tools with multi-blockchain platform support

  • Design an AI based application to perform social analytics of a customer's financial behaviour & categorize into various behavioural buckets

  • Develop an AI based mobile application to perform fund trail analysis of financial statements in pdf,CSV or any other relevant format

  • Design and develop a Women's safety app that automatically senses the danger to a mobile user and triggers an SOS alert with location details based on multimodal data from a mobile device such as audio, video, image, motion detection, etc., given a situation that the user is not able to operate the mobile

  • Design and develop a technological solution that can accurately perform the Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) along with Facial Recognition from the available CCTV feeds. The solution should be able to recognize number plates that are written in typical non-standard ways using varying font styles, sizes, designs, symbols, languages, etc., i.e. difficult to recognize by existing ANPR Systems

  • Design and develop an IOT-based technological solution based on live CCTV feeds, that can automatically detect incidents related to street crime, violence, burglary, theft, infiltration, unauthorized access, etc., and generate alerts to the nearest Police Station

  • Create an IOT or Embedded based platform to remotely track police officers deployed to bandobast duty using NFC(Near Field Communication)to ensure that they stay where they are posted

  • Design a smart work clothing that has sensors embedded in it to securely transmit data to managers about hazardous conditions and the worker's physical conditions, improving safety overall

  • Create an antitheft auto security system that can extract the registration number from the number plate of moving vehicle and can capture and transfer data to cloud, which can be available for further analysis of theft or proof reading

  • Design a surveillance system, which can be developed through Modular design which is easy to assemble at onsite. The users of this system are two-fold: i) Any Security agency who is securing a larger area can install an unmanned area and can track through a single control room

  • Create a Buzzer Alert for Parents about Child Safety. The toy should be in small size to be fit in the form of an object to be tied at neck. For miscellaneous behaviour an alert to be sent to police station along with the present location of child
